The leader of our tech practice will guide our clients to the technical solutions that will balance their need for results with their need to carefully manage investment. That may mean a comprehensive tech platform that runs all of their most important digital touch points, or it might mean an exceptionally well done digital product that’s being launched for the first time. The right tech leader for GoKart will help us figure out what we should be paying attention to so that we can lead our clients, will love to build high performing teams of technologists, will value collaboration with our clients’ and partners’ teams and will love to teach and grow the best tech talent in the industry.

What You Will Be Doing

• First and foremost, you’re going to make sure we’re leading our clients towards the right tech by helping us develop, refine and communicate the strategy of our tech practice.
• You’ll make sure we’re in a position to lead by prioritizing which technologies and development platforms GoKart will use to drive innovation for ourselves and our clients.
• You’ll lead a team of developers and technologists, ensuring we’ve got the right mix of skills and talent and the kind of culture that the best want to work at.
• You’ll match the best people with the right engagements based on their skills, personality, and career development needs.
• You’ll identify and build relationships with the right vendors, partners, and tech providers to augment GoKart’s development team and serve the unique needs of each of our clients.
• You will make sure we regularly communicate our point-of-view (internally and externally) on which technologies business leaders should be paying attention to and how they will impact their businesses.
• You’ll create and share a strategy for growing the capabilities of GoKart’s technology practice. A strategy that helps us stay aimed at the right client/industry problems and ensures we have the right offering to solve them.
• You will make sure our teams are using the right development methodologies, tools, and processes and will be diligent that our teams are delivering high quality work. Under your leadership we'll be known for our high standards and taste and prove it with our work, user facing or behind the scenes.

• You identify, recruit and develop a great talent and ensure they are set up for success. Your team trusts you and often describe you as approachable, supportive and sincere. They follow you because they believe in you not because of your title.
• You still like to get into the code and make sure it’s smart and beautiful. You have a current point of view on technologies and tools, not just a high level understanding of them.
• You are exceptional at leading and Influencing. You are able to guide and influence our team, our clients and other partners with data, experience, vision and strategy.
• You already rely on collaboration. We’re a highly collaborative workplace and often our solutions come from deep interaction with our clients. You are able to contribute and sometimes lead our collaborative sessions.

What You Have Already Done

• You have led a team that delivered innovative solutions within an enterprise or you have consulted with enterprise organizations to drive innovation; ideally you have done both.
• You have built a stable, high performing team.
• You have helped launch new digital products.
• You have succeeded in both the enterprise and startup environments.
• You have translated emerging technology into stable products.
• You have influenced senior leaders to make significant investments in innovation and technology.
• You have led your organization through transitions (e.g. new development approaches, org change, acquisition/sale, or challenging growth).
• You can show us some of your work that lives in the world. It could be something you made yourself, something you worked on with a team, or something your team built and launched.
